The original recording of the song Bridge of Love
The original song Bridge of Love was written by Roger Corbett, a member of the Bushwackers band, and published by Warner Chappell Music (now Alberts Music). Bridge of Love was nominated for 'Song of the Year' at the Golden Guitar awards in January 1995.
Released in August 1994 on CD by Larrikin Records and distributed through Outback Music, the sheet music, published and distributed by Warner Chappell Music, allowed the song to be easily learned and performed by school choirs all over Australia.
The CD container four versions of 'Bridge of Love'. There was the contemporary country music radio single featuring 30+ country music vocalists, then the school choir version sung by Colin Buchanan with 120 school kids from three different school choirs, and finally instrumental versions of both the radio single and school choir versions of the song.
