Smoky Dawson AM MBE was an Australian country music performer. Smoky was widely touted as Australia's first singing cowboy, complete with yodel in the style of Gene Autry. Smoky released his first single in 1941, and made his last recording in 2005 at the age of 92 to become the oldest recording artist of the time. Together with his beloved wife Dot, Smoky was a tireless family entertainer and contributor to causes for children including the original 'Bridge of Love' recording.
