In 1994 Lee Kernaghan was still a young breakthrough in country music with a string of smash hit singles including 'Boys From The Bush' and 'She's My Ute', co-written with Colin Buchanan and produced by Garth Porter. Lee's albums 'The Outback Club' (1992) and 'Three Chain Road' (1993) both won ARIA awards and would achieve double-platinum sales. At the height of Lee's phenomenal popularity, he still found time to participate in the original 'Bridge of Love' recording and video, and to lend his support to kids through Barnardos Australia.
A real boy from the bush yet a true country gentleman, Lee was as generous with his time for drought relief and children's causes in 1994 as he is today. Father to sons Jet and Rock, Lee received an Order of Australia Medal in 2004, and was Australian of the Year in 2008.
