From his roof-raising days at the Rest Hotel in Sydney, to his decades-long career as a singer-songwriter in Australian country music, Pat Drummond is a legend for his personal and professional integrity. When Pat participated in the original recording of 'Bridge of Love', his youngest son Pete Drummond was already the drummer in the Bushwackers, while his youngest daughter Josephine was actually born during the 'Bridge of Love' recording process, causing Pat to make a lightning dash from studio to hospital in time for the birth.

The Bridge of Love Project is an official Australian awareness-raising endeavour for the 20th Anniversary International Year of the Family, an initiative of the United Nations. Australia celebrates National Families Week 15-21 May 2014. The UN-designated theme for this year's international campaign is: 'Stronger Families, Stronger Communities'.

All proceeds from the Bridge of Love Project are directed towards Barnardos Australia for their continuing work with vulnerable children and young people in our communities.
